Dual Radio Architecture
The AT3105 features a combination of two 802.11 WiFi radios and one antenna embedded in a single housing. Functioning with the AT4000 Series Base Station controllers and AT3604 Access Points as part of an AirTegrity Network, AT3105's can function as relay subscriber stations at mid-points in a point-to-multi-point network. Alternatively they can also be configured as a backhaul to a local hotspot.
Backhaul to Local Hotspot
The AT3105 can function as a backhaul link to a local hotspot. In this configuration one embedded radio and the internal antenna function in a point-to-point mode, backhauling bandwidth from the base station. The second embedded radio can be configured as an 802.11b/g WiFi access point connected by a N/Type Female connector to an Omnidirectional antenna for WiFi distribution. This dual radio architecture allows operators the convenience of preconfigured backhaul and hotspot functionality in one module.
Relay Subscriber/Station
The AT3105 can also function as a relay gateway using the standard internal antenna (optional external antenna) and one embedded radio configured for backhaul from a base station. The gateway system can distribute bandwidth to local subscribers via a 10/100 Base T Ethernet Port. The second embedded radio is configured as a point-to-multi point or point-to-point link to other devices on the edge of the network using an external antenna. The AT3105 is equipped with N-Type Female connector(s) for connections to the external antenna(s). This radio architecture enables operators to route around line of site obstructions and conserve bandwidth utilizing even distribution across a network.
Dual Radio WiFi Relay Subscriber Station
As part the AirTegrity family of solutions, the AT3105 WiFi Relay Subscriber Stations are fully functional low cost dual 802.11x radio units. Designed with a stylish and rugged outdoor NEMA 4X rated enclosure, the AT3105 offers a 10/100 Ethernet port supporting Power-over-Ethernet standard. Any combination of radio interfaces can be selected. Integrated antennas are supported for 4.9 & 5.8GHz operation.
Residential and Commercial Service
Functioning with an AT4000 Series Base Station Controllers, AT3604 Base Transceiver Stations and AT1505 Customer Premise Equipment, the AT3105 Relay Subscriber Station provides an easily deployable rugged solution to backhaul hotspot applications, overcome NLOS (non-line of site) issues, or to function as a repeater extending the range of base stations to Customer Premise equipment. It supports firewall, the most secure encryption techniques available including AES, VPN and VLAN enabling them to function securely in both enterprise and residential settings. AirTegrity WiFi systems are capable of delivering up to 11 Mbps in 802.11b mode and 54 Mbps in 802.11a,g modes.
